history:
dane grew up in chicago, and all the crime there was wrapped into the package of his upbringing. his mother and father were useless. his mother was a lazy, good for nothing stay-at-home mom who never did her job as a mother to look after her kid. his dad was on drugs, pedaling whores, and dealing illegal drugs. dane was exposed to the world and its dangers and terrors at a very early age. by the time he was six, he already knew all about his dad's jobs... and he also knew to keep quiet about it. his dad was quite the violent one.
somehow, he got hold of a guitar and taught himself to play. he would have nothing to do at home, so he'd go and play his guitar on the streets for money to pride himself in earning. after a few years, he was an incredible guitarist. he was elite. most people would give him twenty dollars just for six measures. when dane was sixteen, he signed up for a local tv show about talented yet unknown artists. lucky for him, his dad didn't see the show, but his mom did. she told his dad that dane had publicly shown himself, and the state of his appearance clearly showed that he was not cared for at home. upon returning home, dane got the beating of his life. the next day when someone from the show came to deliver a prize, they saw that dane had bruises and called social services.
foster care lasted only a short while. dane applied online for a music tour when he was 19. by that time, he was pretty famous as "the guitarist who formed a legacy". he was invited into a band and has been playing hard rock music ever since.

hello! my name is christie! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about three years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are dahlia. my time zone is est/gmt -5/east coast usa. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:
sandi looked around the busy road with all its* cars and crosswalks, waiting for olli. she felt weird, standing on the street corner in the clothes she was wearing. she was clad in a v-necked violet shirt with no sleeves that hung on her upper thighs and gathered there in an elastic string. the neckline had a gathering of fabric on the end, and she wore a golden colored necklace. since her shirt was rather long, she wore black leggings underneath, with golden and purple heels. her long blonde hair was put up in a lazy bun, strands hanging out in a messy yet sexy way. a few men had come towards her with cash in their hands, and she'd slapped them across the face and gave them a run for their money with her bad language.
olli and sandi had decided to have their first actual date in a long time. since sandi had left outlast kings, become a solo artist, left the solo business, and joined outlast kings again, this time as a staff member, she had no time whatsoever to be with olli at at all. now, this really sucked, but now they could make up for it all as much as they wanted.
the rather loud music from the club hit sandi's ears and the beat shook the ground slightly. distorted glass windows from both the second and first floors of the club revealed prisms of multicolored light beams, blurry circles of lights, and vague shadows of the dancers and ravers alike inside the clash. sandi smiled slightly and placed a hand upon her hip, shifting her weight to her other hip.
she frowned, twirling a piece of hair around her finger. she remembered their very first date. it was way back in the beginning of the tour, the very first stop. disturbia; destination: seattle, wa. the two of them were to meet at the docks. although sandi had arrived a pinch early, she was frantic because olli was late. she had been almost crying, and debating whether to just leave and not talk to olli. she had just started to walk away when he bumped into her, signaling that he had, in fact, not stood her up. he had told her that he would never be late again after he realized how upset it made her. now he was late again. now, sandi was smarter than to think he was standing her up, but this was still bad. it was just rude to be late.
