Dahlia enjoyed putting up with Seth. It was quite intriguing to watch the boy get angry, become sad, and almost explode in excitement. Of course, she would cheer him up whenever he needed it. She would spend most of her time with Seth, so she knew him like the back of her hand, so she knew one thing about her best friend for sure: He hated cleaning. And damn, it showed. "For god's sake," she mumbled as she maneuvered around his dirty clothes and promptly fell on her face after trying to step around a shoe. Walking around in this room was like playing twister!
She sat up and sighed. This mess was not going to clean itself, and Seth was coming back in less than ten minutes. He wouldn't help her, she knew that much. He'd sit on his bunk and talk. They both knew that Dahlia didn't mind this. She liked doing things that helped Seth. It was in her nature to want to help others. It was simply part of her as a person. She kicked off her own shoes, smirking as she knew it would give her reason to come back later, saying that she'd lost her shoes. She laughed to herself and sat down on the floor in a clearing that she'd made by kicking some clothes and papers and books aside. she reached for a pile of clothes and began folding them, sorting them by T-shirts, long sleeved shirts and pants.
Dahlia frowned. The sea of clothes seemed to be getting even bigger. She waited for a few minutes, waiting for the telltale sign of Seth's footsteps outside the bus from the many windows she had taken upon herself to open. She was excited to see him. She liked doing things for her friends, but for Seth it was different. She loved doing things for Seth. She decided it was because they shared a bond nobody else shared with either of them. They were closer than family. She felt like a member of Seth's family from how much he'd told her. She knew that they both had their secrets that wouldn't be shared, her Bipolar Disorder being one - her parents had told her never to tell anyone until she was married to someone who would understand - and her true feelings being another. Seth had his secrets too, of course, but they still had a special relationship. Their friendship was always more than just that. It was special. And she intended to keep it that way.
At the familiar pattern of Seth's footsteps, Dahlia jumped up and ran to the door, grabbing the sodas she had bought earlier. She had ordered pizza and rented movies. She wanted to have a movie night with Seth. Those were always fun. Also, since Seth's bandmates hadn't fully accumulated yet, they had both of their tour buses to themselves. Lovely.
She set the sodas down and threw open the tour bus door. "Seth!" She smiled broadly and hugged her best friend. "I missed you," she grinned.

Seth brushed a hand through his hair, making his way back towards his tour bus. He had gone out to practice for a while, needed to get his mind off things before he hung out with Dahlia tonight. He wasn't sure what time she was planning for them to hang out, but he was looking forward to it. They spent a lot of time together, but it could never be too much time spent together. He enjoyed every minute with her, she was the one person who could get his mind off his problems, which he really needed.
As Seth neared his tour bus, he noticed several windows open. As far as he remembered, he hadn't opened them, meaning one of his band members showed up, or Dahlia already came. When he got to the door, it was thrown open from the inside and he was automatically smothered with a hug. As his friend hugged him, he chuckled softly, wrapping his arms around her. "I missed you too babe," he replied, letting his arms drop and giving her a smile.
Her greeting was nice, it made him feel special, her eagerness to see him was refreshing. He needed to surround himself with fun people like her, people who could help lift his moods. Once they pulled back from the hug, he stepped inside the bus with her, noticing the pops and the movies she had gotten. "Movie night?" Seth asked, grabbing one of them, curious as to what she had gotten. He only watched comedy and horror movies, preferably with a lot of gore. Dahlia knew that, so she had probably gotten some of each.
When Seth peered into the back of the bus, where his room was located, he notice the piles of clothes. "Cleaning again," he commented, it wasn't a question. She was always straightening up his room, he was pretty sure it bothered her a lot more than it bothered him. As long as his bed was cleared off so he could sleep, everything was okay in his eyes.

Upon seeing her best friend, Dahlia could feel her heart skip several beats. His hair was casually swept to the side like always, his tight-fitting graphic T-shirt hanging low on his hips and sweeping into a deep neckline. She blushed lightly, glad that her head was buried into his neck instead of at a position that he could see her faint flush. She squeezed her arms around Seth's waist. "I love you," she mumbled without thinking, too quiet and muffled for him to understand - thank god. If he found out... what would happen? She didn't want to think about that. No, sir. Not now. She wanted to savor her time with Seth and not deal with this shitty angst that was eating away her mind and soul.
She smiled bashfully at her nickname. Babe. He called her that a lot. She laughed and smiled. "Come on, let's go eat something." She grasped his wrist and dragged him inside. She knew he didn't like fatty foods, but she insisted that he eat pizza and burgers at least once a month. When you were as skinny as Seth, you needed it. She pulled him over to the kitchen, saying apologetically, "Now I know you don't like eating pizza, but you do like the taste, you've admitted it to me before, and you can't lie to me, so I just figured you'd like it if I ordered some pizza for us, even though you're somewhat of a health nut, I mean it's only once in a while, right, and you can't avoid it forever, seriously..." She realized that she had been babbling terribly and covered her mouth. "I'm sorry, Seth, I was babbling again," She muttered.
She nodded as he mentioned movie night. She grabbed one of the movies and held it up like the Holy Bible. "Repo! We're going to watch Repo! The Genetic Opera! Come on, Seth!" She grinned fabulously. "I've already seen it a thousand times, so let me finish folding your clothes first, but you can start without me if you want. There's cabbage in the fridge for Mr. Seth-Anorexic if you don't want the fatty pizza," she teased, unaware of the impact her seemingly meaningless words had on Seth as she pranced down the hall to see to her piles.
"Yeah," she said from the door of his room, scratching her ear a bit. "I just want to finish something really quick in there. I'll be right out," she promised as she slipped inside. She looked around for a second, turning right and left with her index fingers pointing as she tried to remember what she wanted to put away. She finally recalled her intentions and rushed over to the desk, pushing a pile of notebooks over to the side and sorting them by titles quickly. Every single one of the Staples notebooks had titles by year and date. June 2008, September 2008, January 2009, and so on. Finally, there was only one notebook left. But it had no title. She frowned. It was a different type of notebook, too. Hardback, red cover. Not like the green ones from Staples. This one had a leather cover. Her curiosity piqued, Dahlia carefully opened the book, looking around to make sure Seth wasn't there. This was just one of those things you knew you shouldn't do.
There were only endless amounts of what seemed like categories and numbers. There were dates on each right corner of each page. She noticed that there were two letter categories: BC and GC. What could that stand for? There were large numbers, like 500 and 400 and 1,000 in one section, and then on the opposite side of the page there were negative numbers. For the 500, there was -300. For 400, there was -200. For 1,000, -700. She frowned and quickly memorized these numbers and shut the book. She was determined to figure this out.

At the mention of pizza, Seth frowned slightly. He usually avoided pigging out, because that meant more he'd have to get rid of later. Chances were that Dolly would end up spending a while there, meaning he would have to be very sneaky, or just keep his food down. The thought of keeping down pizza made him nauseous, he was so used to forcing himself to throw up after most meals, it just naturally happened now. His body programmed itself to not keep food down, he didn't have to try anymore. "I guess I'll have a little," he said, looking over at her. Right, health nut. Actually he was probably the opposite, it would be more healthy of him to pig out. When she called him annorexic he flinched a little, but just chuckled lightly, playing it off.
It was hard to keep his secret from her, from everyone. He had started doing this when he was sixteen, keeping it from his band was the hardest though, he had to spend days with them on the tour bus. He had grown to be pretty sneaky about it, but he hated always being on edge. Seth knew what would happen if people knew, they'd insist he get help. Not to mention if that got out, it would make him look bad to his sisters social worker, he had to keep a good impression with her.
When she went into his room, he took a seat at the little table in the tour bus. Seth opened the soda, taking a sip and staring at the DVD case on the table. He had watched the movie with her boyfriend, she was literally obsessed with it, but he didn't mind. Whatever made her happy, it wasn't the worst thing in the world. Plus, watching movies with her kept him busy, the busier he was the less time he had to over think things. Too much thinking time was bad for him.
After several minutes he peered into the back bedroom. "Almost done?" he asked, getting up from his seat and walking back there.

Dahlia frowned as Seth frowned. It was something she did. If he got angry, she could stay calm. If he got depressed, she would be upset and comfort him to no limits. But if he frowned, smiled, or raised an eyebrow, she couldn’t help but follow suit. It was part of her. He was part of her. It was undeniable. She really didn’t like being tailored to him sometimes. Being unable to have her own feelings around Seth sometimes bugged her, but she knew that it wasn’t really the case; she had her own feelings, she just decided that she wanted to be in his shoes. Also, she knew that he thought it was cute, so her brain just didn’t really give her a choice in the matter. She had noticed that whenever she mentioned junk food, he’d flinch or avoid the subject or get out the cabbage. And boy, it hurt when he broke out the cabbage.
She clapped her hands frantically and squealed, ”Come on, put it in! Start it! It’s okay! I’ll be right out!” She knew what was good for her friends, all the time, all her friends. So naturally she knew what was best for her best friend. He was her best friend and so much more. There was no point in thinking otherwise. She cared about Seth so much that she knew it would be her downfall. She knew that if there was one thing bugging him, she wouldn't let it go. She'd poke and prod until she got it out of him. Then she'd do her very best to make it better, and it would either end in a few days with a cold shoulder, or her triumphant smirk and a soft ring of the words "that wasn't so bad" or "I told you so". She was quite scared of herself sometimes because if there was something wrong, really wrong with Seth, she would stop at nothing to make sure he was back to normal. If her efforts didn't make anything better, or, god forbid, make things worse, she didn't know what she'd do with herself. She depended on Seth to be happy most of the time. She had her other guy friends, and her girl friends, but Seth was beyond different. That's what made her scared. She had a feeling that she couldn't live without Seth.
Dahlia panicked as she heard his footsteps and voice trying to memorize the numbers and letters before he came back there. She finally heard his voice from the doorway and shoved the notebook into his desk drawer hoping to god that it wasn’t too late. ”Um, yeah, I was just… organizing…. Let’s just watch the movie, okay? Yeah! Great idea! Come on, nothing to see here, nothing to see,” she prattled, pushing him out of the room and trying to get his mind off the subject that she dared think it might be on: her seeing that notebook. She knew it was something she definitely was not supposed to see.
She sat him down on the couch and shoved the disc into the player, forcing a smile as she sat next to Seth. She was trying to be normal on the outside as she wracked her brain trying to figure out what those numbers and letters meant. She knew she had seen them somewhere before, but she couldn't remember! What were those codes?!

Seth just laughed as she ushered him out of his room, she was acting odd but he didn't bother asking, sometimes it was just good not to know. "You sound so fishy right now dolly, but I don't think I want to know why," he commented, chuckling softly and shaking his head at her. When she sat him on the couch he leaned back on it, getting comfortable for the movie, smiling as she sat down. The movie started and he paid attention to the beginning, peering over at her curiously every few minutes. She seemed a little distracted, lost in thought. That was strange, usually she was really into this movie, despite seeing it about a million times.
Seth reached a hand over, tucking a piece of her hair back from her face as he watched her. That wasn't an unusual thing, they were very close and he was just a touchy feely kind of guy, well with his friends that were girls anyway. Dropping his hand he looked at the movie for a few minutes, but her strangeness was beginning to bother him a little. He didn't know if she was upset about something, obviously she was hiding whatever it was. "You alright?" he finally asked, sitting up straighter on the couch, angling his body toward her. He wanted to give her his full attention, curious as to what she was thinking about.
They bother had their little secrets, but she usually didn't keep much from him. Especially when it had her so preoccupied, got knows if he acted like that she'd drive him insane until he told her what was up. Maybe he'd have to try that tactic, bother her until she tells him whats on her mind. Hopefully she would just tell him though, lot less work. "You seem very, distraced," he acted, explaining why he was asking if she was okay.

{going to be short, sorry times a million}
Dahlia ignored Seth, biting her lip and not gracing his comment with an answer. She sat down on the couch and began to deeply contemplate that notebook. She paid no attention one of her favorite songs in Repo! as she thought. BC. Bitch count? No, Seth would never keep track of girls he slept with, and he didn't even sleep with many girls all the time anyway. BC.... god damn it, what did it mean? Perhaps it wasn't an acronym. Maybe BC and GC were initials! Wait, no. nobody on the tour that she knew had those initials. Maybe someone back at Seth's hometown? No, three of the pages Dahlia had opened to were dated today, yesterday and the day before, all in consecutive order.
She smiled softly and leaned into his hand as he shifted her hair. She knew he had been looking over at her multiple times, but paid no heed to his glances. She was determined to figure that notebook out. "GC, BC," she mumbled passively, blinking. She cursed in her mind as she realized what she'd said. She quickly whispered incoherent things about "please don't hear that, please don't hear that", not daring to look at Seth for fear that if she looked at him, he'd know that she found his notebook.
"I'm fine, Seth, why would you ask if I'm all right, I'm prefectly fine, haha, do I look upset because I'm not, I'm not upset or mad or anything bad like that I promise..." She went on for a while, finally stopping short and looking away from him, fixating her gaze downward onto the floor. "I'm just.... thinking," she said, slwly and cautiously.

Seth listened to her freak, raising an eyebrow and smirking playfully at her. He found it amusing, he did want to know what was up, but her reaction was hilarious. Seth had no clue that her 'thinking' had to do with him and his secret, he was totally blind to all the clues leading to her thoughts being about him, he tended to be blind about things.
"Well, tell me about it," he said, turning his face serious, rubbing his hand up and down her back in a comforting way. Seth and Dahlia were beyond close, they were generally pretty in tuned about things, except for now. He was a total loss as to what could be on his friends mind, she had been perfectly fine before, excited to spend time together. Seth had been happy too, he liked being around her, spending time with her. It amazed him how close they were, he hadn't been so close to anyone since April.
At the thought of her name he dropped his hand from her back. Damn it, he tried so hard to forget her and she'd randomly pop into his mind. It had been three years, and thoughts of it all still upset him. He'd probably never get over it, he'd just have to keep pushing the thoughts away.

its gonna be really short, you didnt give me much to reply to.... Dahlia shook her head, keeping her mouth shut tight. "I can't tell you, Seth. I can't. I'm sorry, Seth. I just need to figure something out." She closed her eyes and relaxed into his hand, loving the way his touch felt. She smiled. "It's no big deal, Seth. I promise." This was kind of true, because she didn't know if it was a big deal or not. So she wasn't lying, really. Was she? She never lied to Seth. So it must be true. She hoped with everything she had that it wasn't a big deal. If anything was seriously wrong with Seth that had to do with that notebook and she didn't figure it out and do something about it, she'd never forgive herself.
As Seth's hand dropped from her back, her face softened. She knew why he dropped his hand. If he ever thought of April when touching Dahlia, he'd just stop doing whatever he was doing. "Seth, it's okay," she said. "Part of forgetting is remembering. It's okay, Seth," she promised, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him tightly. She held him close, burying her face into his neck. "It's okay," she said, partly to herself.
